Crypto-based casinos are quietly gaining traction in Bangladesh, attracting users with promises of privacy and high payouts. But cybersecurity experts warn these platforms often use rigged algorithms to ensure users lose money over time.
Unlike regulated gambling platforms, crypto casinos operate anonymously, without legal oversight or player protection. Users are lured through Telegram groups, fake influencer endorsements, and referral schemes.
The games, while visually appealing, are controlled by back-end scripts that adjust win probabilities based on user behavior. Once users deposit cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Tether, withdrawal processes become increasingly difficult or entirely blocked.
Authorities urge citizens to avoid crypto casinos and report any such sites to the Bangladesh Cyber Police.
