Many gambling apps across South Asia are offering “welcome bonuses” of up to 1,000 INR or BDT to new users. However, these bonuses are often locked behind unrealistic conditions or only available after the first deposit.
Once money is added, users find they can’t access the bonus or withdraw winnings. The apps push users to gamble more, knowing most will lose their balance before discovering the deception.
Consumer watchdogs advise users to avoid any app offering upfront cash rewards without clear terms, and regulators are working to identify repeat offenders.
